Don’t Lose the Plot (or the Paper): Why Your Original Will Needs a Safe Home

A Will is one of the most important documents you’ll ever sign.  It’s basically your official “here’s how I’d like things handled after I’ve left the stage” note.  But here’s the twist: if nobody can find the original, it can cause more drama than a season finale.

Because in estate law, copies are nice… but the original Will is the star of the show.

• Where it’s stored

• How to access it

Otherwise, you’ve essentially created a very important document and assigned it “stealth mode”.

A Will only works if it can actually be found.
